Rico V. Locaba

Rico has 25 continuing years of rural community development focusing on agri-based livelihood and small enterprise creation as part of resiliency building in the countryside with small and emerging organizations. He completed his Master of Science in Disaster Risks Management in 2012 and is completing his Master in Business Administration. His bachelor’s degree is on Agriculture. He worked with IIRR, Philippine-German Development Foundation, Inc, Heifer International and EDUCO Philippines prior re-joining IIRR. He travelled in almost all parts of the Philippines from Batanes to Southern Mindanao and to some Asian countries like China, India, Thailand, Israel, Vietnam, Nepal, Cambodia, Indonesia and the USA. He is the current manager of climate-smart agriculture and food security project. He is based at Quezon Learning Community.
