Yim Soksophors
Yim Soksophors is currently Program Director of IIRR Cambodia. He used to work for Cambodian Centre for Study and Development in Agriculture (CEDAC) as the program coordinator, monitoring and evaluation coordinator and technical specialist/advisor for Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO-UN) and SNV Netherland Development Organization. He has more than 15 years of experiences in project cycle management, project/program monitoring, and evaluation, market assessment, climate-smart agriculture, food security, etc. He experienced dealing with different donors such as European Union (EU), USAID, ADB/JFPR, UNDP, etc. He is versed in Community Mobilization, Association Development as well as experience working with the local authorities and stakeholders to integrate critical priorities issues into the Commune Investment Programme (CIP) and Commune Development Plan (CDP) and to enhance engagement as well as roles and responsibilities of duty bearers and right holders. He also has experience in developing successful proposals about Livelihood Improvement, Agriculture and Rural Development, Natural Resource Management, Food Security, Climate Change Adaptation, Community Smart Disaster Risk Reduction Management, and Local Governance (Decentralization and Deconcentration). In the last few years, he is more involved in the design of the training curriculum, detail lessons incorporated climate-smart agriculture or climate change adaptation into the farmer field school curriculum for the FAO-UN project through the cooperation with the MAFF/GDA. He has organized and facilitated trainings, workshop with different stakeholders.
Soksophors has a Masters Degree om Development Management from Norton University, Bachelor Degree in Agriculture and Rural Development from International University, and Diploma of Forestry from the Prek Leap National College of Agriculture.
